The CSforAZ summit was recently highlighted by the ASU Institute for the Science of Teaching & Learning. The article included a summary of the summit’s agenda, along with recognition for co-chairs Janice Mak and Brian Nelson. Provided is an excerpt from the article:
The Computer Science (CS) for AZ Summit which took place Saturday, August 19th was both the latest in a series of meetings of Arizona stakeholders interested in CS education, and a kind of kick-off to a formalized advocacy and policy group: CS for AZ (csforaz.org).
CS for AZ is a state-level member group of the national CSforAll consortium (csforall.org).
CS for AZ members are helping draft state policies, K12 standards, and teacher certification pathways for teachers in support of computer science education for all Arizona students.
